CLIRPath-AI Sandpit November 2023

CLIRPath-AI is an EPSRC funded network bringing together researchers in the fields of Spectral Pathology, Digital Pathology and Artificial Intelligence, working together to find creative solutions to diagnostic problems. The UK is at the forefront of developments in these fields, but at present the communities are distinct and independent, and advances in one area are not translated to the other. We hope to facilitate discussions and offer opportunities for further research that reaches across the disciplines. This Sandpit aims to address the technological obstacles impeding progress towards clinical adoption

The sandpit will be held over 3 days at the Grange Hotel, Bristol North. It will be an interactive event with focused talks and workshops to formulate potential projects. Funding will be available for pump-priming projects. Please view our Funding Opportunities page for more information and application documents.

Speakers include

  • Natalie Belsey (National Physical Laboratory)
  • Mads Bergholt (King’s College)
  • Peter Gardner (University of Manchester)
  • Mustafa Kansiz (Photothermal Spectroscopy Corp.)
  • Achim Kohler (Norwegian University of Life Sciences)
  • Maria Lizio (University of Manchester)
  • Julian Moger (University of Exeter)
  • Axel Mosig (Ruhr-University Bochum)
  • Nick Stone (University of Exeter)
  • Will Tipping (University of Strathclyde)

Registration costs cover all aspects of the event and your stay, including all food, drink and hotel rooms. CLIRPath-AI funding from EPRSC allows us to substantially subsidise UK-based academics, Early Career Researchers and Clinicians to join us. We also offer a significant subsidy for Industry members. Unfortunately our funding is UK-based only and also does not cover PhD students so they would need to cover the full cost of attendance.
